There are thousands of commuters driving from Route 46, up maple avenue and from Lincoln up Maple.
They speed and use their cell phone while driving, they have no respect for the residents and often beep at us when we need to get in out cars, or are parking on our own street.
A speed bump needs to be installed on the block between Lincoln and Mt Hope. I also thiunk they should put them all up and down all our side streets.
The town does not seem to understand or care about the noise and pollution these cars create, Its a health hazard as well as the safety hazard for our community.

Just an additional note: I have asked Mayor Dodd and 2 Alderman to help me with this issue. Mayor Dodd in June , just before his re-election. Stood on my front porch and promised me he would send out the appropriate letter to the community for the speed bump installation the very next day. Shook my hand and thanked me for letting him know of my issues. He never did it. I contacted his office a week later to follow up with him, but he never returned any of my 5 phone calls. I then quite some time later made a request of the new alderman Mr. Rutan the same thing, and he never even responded except to tell me that he only works part time, and that he would bring up the issues at the meeting. He has never followed up, or returned a phone call or email to me after that. Alderman Timpani is the only one who took he time out to help with this issue, but he said he that there is nothing he can do because the mayor will not answer his calls or meet with him either.
So what is a resident to do when their elected officials tell you they are powerless to help you, or just plain ignore you and do not answer any of your concerns?
