Thank you for getting in touch. We will send someone out to look for a location to replace these racks within the next few weeks. If we find a suitable location for bike racks they should be installed this Fall.

This isn't a matter of a suitable location for bike racks. This is a spot where three racks that already existed have disappeared, and the holes in the ground are visible in the picture I have taken. If pouring fresh cement to install new racks in the existing spots is necessary, I can understand that, but an installation in the fall might mean a shorter life depending on heavy snowfall and snow removal procedures in the winter.

Thank you for the detail on the locations. Generally, we are not able place a new rack in the same location as the 'stump' of an old rack because there is still a good bit of material in the sidewalk that would need to be excavated. It may be as simple as locating the racks a few feet to the left or right, but we will need to take a look first to site the new locations.

We've visited this location a number of times over the past few months - both in the summer and while CRLS was still in session. Each time, the 6 other bike racks on the same block were never at full capacity. Therefore we will not be replacing these racks at this time. However, the layout on the block is not ideal, and ultimately will be considered for a complete overhaul in the future when there is a good opportunity to do so (many more damaged racks, a street reconstruction, etc.).
