I am very familiar with the location and similar to the intersection at Steele St and Collincote St where there is a stop sign. There is no guarantee drivers will stop as it appears stop signs are just a suggestion, like pilots executing "touch and go" on landing strips.

It's true that not everyone obeys those signs, but it is a good visual clue to new drivers that may not have an idea without the sign. The last three drivers to almost hit me at that intersection appeared under 20. The sign small price to pay if it stops someone from getting hurt.

Where has common sense gone? Whenever you come to the end od of a street you stop and look both ways before proceeding. The same with turn right on red people have no common sense. Stop and only proceed if no one is coming. I am really surprised there are not more accidents.

Safety Officer to review location and make recommendation to Town Administrator for installation of sign at this location. Public Works and Police Department can not order the installation of new signage without the approval of the Town Administrator.
