Do you have any traffic counts or an intersection study that leads you to believe that a stop sign is the best solution instead of removing those parking spaces and "daylighting" the intersection? Or do you just think that the profession of traffic engineering is just the fever dream of a madman?

Today I witnessed a police car not yield to two pedestrians trying to cross this intersection as the cruiser turned right on to Bainbridge. At least the police officer was not speeding like most of the vehicles that treat Schuylkill Ave like an expressway! We definitely need some traffic control in this area to try to reduce the speed of the cars that start accelerating as they come around the corner from Christian Street onto Schuylkill. These are not cars coming from the Naval Square gate - those people are taking a leap of faith when they pull out virtually blind that they won't get hit by a car going 45 miles per hour that just flew around the corner at Christian and is speeding toward Bainbridge in a race to get to the South Street bridge.
