Description

The abandoned light rail tracks down Illinois have been the cause of several bicycle accidents. The ruts can catch and hold bike tires causing riders to loose control. Due to excessive double parked cars and unloading trucks it is nearly impossible to avoid having to cross the tracks while riding parallel to them. I personally have had 2 injury accidents and several near falls because of the deep ruts. Please fill in the ruts on the abandoned tracks even if you leave the rail. Just filling in the rut will make them safer to cross while riding parallel to the tracks.
