Hello. Have you thought about this "FAA restricts drone and model aircraft within 5 miles of airports" or within the flight path OAK? It could be that easy.

Hi. I did think about that. Your statement is not entirely correct though. You just have to notify the air control tower before you fly within 5 mi. However this spot is outside the 5 mi radius. Thanks for your comment.

It might, see the red ring labeled as 24 in the FAA image above. I'm guessing it's the OAK coverage zone that encompasses the Oakland restricted airspace. Also, Federal not municipal code.

That is correct, it is federal law. The security guard that kicked me off states that it was city of Alameda policy. The area in question is however just outside the 5mi radius. See attachment. The yellow space is the radius.
