This happens at the bar At Webster and Central too. Super annoying. The entire stretch of Webster is supposed to be no smoking, so why is it allowed??? Ive seen police cars cruise by and do nothing.

Incredible. The buck keeps getting passed. The City Council made enforcement of the no smoking ordinance clear.

(a) Enforcement of this Section shall be the responsibility of the
Alameda Police Department, although any peace officer, or Fire or Code
Enforcement Officer, may also enforce this Section.

Suggest that you refile this as a police matter. Webster Street is littered with cigarette butts. The area in front of the Shamrock is a big ash tray.

Wow 2 1/2 years later it gets assigned? Our city officials working as fast as a turtle stampeding thru molasses.

Thank you, Lt. It would help if the City installed eye level signage at each corner. There are already posts present to mount them, all that is needed are signs. I was in downtown San Rafael the other day and on each and every corner along 4th Street there is a very visible sign letting visitors know of the law. Did not see a single person smoking and it was a busy day in downtown San Rafael.
