Jim,

Good morning. I am not familiar with this particular culvert; however, I have forwarded this thread to Dane Hanson who manages the Stormwater unit for Public Works. We will log the item into Lucity and will have staff review further if a file has not already been generated based on past inquiry. This is standard procedure to determine ownership of infrastructure.

As you know, Fulton County supplies sanitary sewer service to the community, so this issue will likely need to be coordinated with them directly.

Is there a LDP associated with this site that shows the utility locations? This could be helpful to staff in reviewing the ownership of the facility.

There is a large culvert running under Glenridge Drive from the Ashton Woods side to our side. It is of masonry construction on the Ashton Woods side and corrugated steel on our side. It is failing now. Currently the sewer runs though the culvert. Fulton County thinks they are going to run the new sewer line through it to save money. That seems like a really bad idea to me.

I asked someone at SS who was responsible for the culvert and they said it was Fulton County. I don't remember who it was I spoke to about it. Of course, Fulton County say it is SS responsibility. That is the situation. Thanks.

Jim: Fulton County is planning on installing a new sewer line through our site at some point serving the Ashton Woods and Mercedes developments. They started on our site without notifying me, but they say they have been in discussions with Sandy Springs. Would you be able to direct me to the appropriate person at SS ?
