Work Order Completed in Infor by 155242 on 2015-12-11T16:17:04.000-06:00 with comments - OBSERVATIONS:
A field investigation for Bus Zone was conducted in 12/8/2015 at 12:30PM for 600 (WB) Capitol at (SB) 1000 Smith, because insufficient space was available for the bus to stop next to the curb in order to extend the access ramp for handicapped riders. The investigation determined Capitol is One Way (WB) street intersecting One Way (SB) Smith at a signalized intersection. An approximate 40-ft (NPTC-LA) Zone & 70-ft long NP 7-9AM & 4-6PM (M-F) TAZ & Meter Parking Zone incorporating a Metro 44-line Bus Stop was found on the N/side of Capitol between Smith and the Tranquility Parking Garage driveway resulting in insufficient space for a bus to appropriately stop next to the curb. Adjustment of the No Parking & Meter Parking Zone is recommended in order to establish a (NP) Bus Zone for this location. Following discussion of the Bus Zone request with Aaron Funk-PWE & Parking Management Meter Parking Division it was determined that the proposed change is warranted in order to establish a 50-ft long Metro Bus Zone on the (NE) corner. Requester contacted by E-mail.
