This light has had constant issues for many years. Almost every day (sometimes more than once), I nearly get killed when someone comes through while I'm approaching the intersection with a green light. It doesn't matter which direction I'm coming from.

I've witnessed every kind of malfunction imaginable with the light at this intersection.

For the last few MONTHS (at least), the light goes blank for a few seconds when changing. On some sides, the red light goes blank for a few seconds before the green comes on (probably coincides with yellow being displayed to the cross street). I have witnessed the blanking-out from multiple directions. Something is definitely shorting-out the red light when yellow is being displayed to the cross street.

Today, I was heading south on Thompson St and witnessed that BOTH GREEN AND YELLOW WERE LIT AT THE SAME TIME. Then it went blank. A while later, red blinked on again momentarily, then everything was blank again for a few seconds before the light turned green.

I also recall a very cold day last year when it was stuck on red. I waited over 7 minutes and eventually took another way to work.

It's time to permanently fix this light. If no one has been killed or injured, we should all consider ourselves lucky.
