Good Evening,

I have one more request for a new LED Street Light to be installed, this current area gets dark once you get past the two light fixtures already installed in this area. As this is an area with no residential, I felt that the official Petition Form was not needed. I would request LED as it provides more light for less energy and makes the area much brighter and safer for the students that live nearby. I will post an additional photo of the area at night so it can be seen how dark it gets. This should meet the 150ft distance requirement as well. It would also be great, if the other two fixtures before this pole could be converted to LED at the same time to provide better lighting and security while saving energy. Re-opening this as I sent a fax myself on behalf of this request since it seems the original petition was never sent, and I agree that it is too dark on this section. I sent a fax around noon EDT on 8/4/2016 to GDOT

If it's okay, I would like to keep this issue until the new fixture is installed, or I hear back from Ms. Smith via email on why it cannot be done. Although from how it sounded it looks like it will happen. Either way, would like to keep this open until final action has been taken care of, thank you :)

Update: Kym Smith has sent the request in and the light should be installed in 4-6 weeks. Will close issue myself when it is installed and operational, if it is not closed within 2 months please automatically close this.

Final Update: As of 9/25 when I checked, there is now a streetlight at this location and it is an LED as well! Much brighter and safer feeling at night, especially with all this overcast weather. Thanks for getting this area brightened up and doing so in with a sustainable option! This issue is now officially closed.
