We got told it would be a couple days after Halloween and it's now almost been a month. The city has our street sign and I was told it's the home owners association that is responsible for getting a pole. ??? I left several messages for the HOA and no one called me back

The streetlight pole has been ordered and is expected to arrive in early January. Once the pole is installed the street name signs will be re-attached. Thank you for your patience.

We are now at mid January. Just wondering how much longer till we will have a street light.

I totally agree with Stangage70. This is getting beyond ridiculous. It creates a safety issue in the neighborhood and shouldn't take years to correct.

Thank you all for your comments. We do appreciate your patience. We have provided detailed responses in prior inquires (both through See Click Fix and via phones calls and emails) and I will recap here. First, this is very unusual for a replacement pole to take this long. In early February of 2015 (after SuperBowl Sunday) the pole was hit and no suspect was found. Most times we can replace poles quickly when there is a replacement pole in the city's corporation yard, but it's not uncommon with older subdivisions (over 23 years old) that there are no longer spare poles available. When ordering the pole the City found out that this pole is no longer manufactured and as such a new design had to be created that would give us a similar pole that would fit in this location. That has been done and the order was placed a few months ago and we have been told it is on the way and should arrive this month. As soon as it arrives we are queued up to replace it right away. It's February 2nd now. Just curious if you have an update.

Yes, we have an update! The pole is in route and is expected to be here this week or early next. Preparations for the pole install (new foundation and anchor bolts) should begin this week. We've notified our streets sign division of the timing of the pole so they can re-install the street name signs once it is installed. Thanks for checking in. There will be light soon.

Another update....the poles arrived this morning. The contractor is still expected to do the prep this week and pole will likely be installed next week. Thanks for your patience.

By the way - are you sure of the Feb 2015 incident rate? I believe this pole was removed in mid 2014.

The pole was hit on Sunday, February 1, 2015 (Super bowl Sunday). A police report was taken on that day after a nearby resident called it in.

Foundation for new streetlight began today, Friday, February 5. Pole will be installed next week.
