As long as "drugs" other than the principle, far more widely disastrous offenders - meaning alcoholic drinks and tobacco products - are kept illegal, there will always be drug dealing in the streets. Once that clearly proven-to-be-unworkable, misguided and shortsighted policy is terminated, the street drugs will automatically join alcohol and nicotine as being sold out of properly licensed, officially registered and heavily-taxed storefronts.
What "Looking Around" said! Selling drugs is not a real crime. Taxpayer resources should be saved for addressing crimes that actually violate the rights of others.
