Description

While performing duties under Franklin St, City of Huntsville GIS employees encountered a storm sewer box under Franklin St. in the vicinity of the Exxon gas station on Governors Dr. containing a large amount of debris. While crawling these pipes, the 36" pipe they were crawling in became completely blocked off due to a large amount of debris and sheets of concrete/bricks. Upon inspection of the box, the box appears to have collapsed and the blacktop from the roadway overhead is visible from the box. There did not appear to be any sort of reinforcing in what appears to be what's left of the top of the box.
