This is the Residential Snow Clearing Policy that was voted in by Council in 2013. Transportation pushes the snow to each side of the road in a residential area. It is the homeowners responsibility to clear the windrow in front of their home.

Well it doesn't matter that this was voted on by council or not; it was the wrong decision. If you dutifully shovel in the morning, leave for work and get back to a two foot high frozen windrow, anyone would be upset ... maybe the councillors get special treatment and don't know this from experience. Perhaps we should be designing street widths to accommodate the realities of snow plowing instead ... this is our reality! In the mean time, use smaller equipment, plow it to the center and haul the snow away immeadiately.

I agree. Council definitely choose the easy route with this one…...What a defective bylaw…Making the tax paying people the servants for the city.

Now we must manage snow for them in addition to paying the 4th highest taxes in Canada……Great!!
