I live near the speed bump too. Why the town would use resources to REMOVE it is beyond me. The OP can't be serious that it has caused accidents... how can a speed bump cause accidents unless the drivers are being irresponsible/illegal with their driving? There is a huge speeding problem on Park Street, with both commuters cutting through and locals who use it as a drag strip and the speed bump as a jump which happens daily. Let's leave the bump, even make it bigger. Or post some police patrols to pull people over (those 30+ over tickets would bring in some good/easy revenue!). Or maybe we can cut the street in half to make 2 dead ends, that would be just fine with me...
Selectwoman Colarusso apparently noted in a January 2016 BoS meeting that "the feedback is that this bump should be removed". I'm not sure whose feedback she solicited because ourselves and our neighbors we were never asked for our thoughts and i assure you they would have been drastically different than saying it should be removed.
this is a huge fail by the town and i hope that it is remedied before the DPW makes their way over, without notice to neighbors presumably, to jackhammer it out.

On Every Site Plan... you wont' entertain approval until 'every Board and Dept. 'signs off'... Then when a "Nervous ' in a Hurry' Neurotic cannot stand to slow down for a few seconds on a dangerous street, you 'have to' entertain a 'Public Hearing'....What is wrong with you people.. ?.. I am asking the 'proponent' to withdraw this hearing ...now.. Lest possible embarrasing remarks come later... Or perhaps he or she can get some treatment for the 'Anxiety' Condition ?....
