At some recent date, the traffic lights at this intersection were replaced with the kind that only show up if one is looking at them straight on. Unfortunately there is a rather steep angle that leads down to the traffic light, so it is almost impossible to tell if the light is red, yellow, or green -- even while waiting for the light.
