Description
Chamblee-Dunwoody Road, from I-285 to Peachtree Industrial Blvd is so full of pot holes, cracked pavement and other problems that it is unsafe to drive on this road, which is one of the busiest in Chamblee. I called Chamblee Public Works and they said this is a DeKalb County Road and their responsibility that Chamblee has been trying for over a year for the County to get it fixed. This seems to reflect why many areas of DeKalb County have become their own cities and have made sure that their roads are well-maintained on the North side of the County that has been given little attention by DeKalb. The City of Brookhaven has been paving many streets that DeKalb ignored when it was part of the County. Brookhaven had the same problems that the City of Chamblee is having. My call to Chamblee today informed me that only some potholes would be fixed, but the needed repair and resurfacing was not being done and no one knew when it would be. Why are we paying taxes to DeKalb County for?

Potholes get worse with time. They don't get better and they don't stay the same. Let's get on it, City of Chamblee and Dekalb County.
