At least they aren't aggressive and right up against the trail like they were under the I-40 underpass. If it keeps them from moving back there, I would rather they stay under this underpass.

Actually, I'd prefer they use the services available to them and not be under any of the overpasses (they actually are under a couple on the bike trail). There are no bathrooms, they leave trash everywhere and when I have to ride home at night, once they have begun drinking, etc - there are groups of aggressive folks on the trail. Not safe and not cool.

Many of these people will not or can not stay at shelters because of unsafe conditions, no room, and or they are kicked out due to alcohol and drug use.So there will always be a issue of these derelicts sleeping outside somewhere....so we do need a informal place for them to stay. I do agree that nowhere off the bike trail is that place, especially since I know my older teenagers, neighbors, joggers, and myself ride down these trails.....But...these guys are going to wind up somewhere..if we keep telling them not here and nowhere else, they will keep coming back.

The more you provide for this element, the more of them you attract from other areas. You're not resolving the problem, you're increasing it.

I guess I don't know what 'Acknowledged' means. It has now been over a week and they and all their trash are still there. I didn't expect immediate response as I get the cops are short handed but it doesn't look like anything has changed.

Funny how this was closed like an hour later after my comment on Friday. When I rode past to go home, I did see that some of the materials were gone but there had to be like 10 people still there and a lot of trash. Didn't ride in this morning to see what it looked like but I don't think this really should be closed.
