Thank you for your comment. The two streets around Rensselaer City Hall are in deplorable condition. The city's approach is to put a patch on a patch w/o ever dealing with underlying problems of deteriorated subsurfaces. Especially rough is 3rd Avenue between Washington and Walker Streets. Whether heading East or West, one runs the gauntlet trying to avoid damaging shocks to the vehicle. Related to this is refusal of City to paint lane markings more than once every eight or ten years.
