To make this clear, I understand this is referencing the border fence for Douglas park, which makes it even more of an issue since there are many kids who play in the area. The condition of this fence makes it dangerous for them to play there.

The weeds are outrageous! Broken glass and garbage everywhere - Grafitti all over the playground equipment. This park is disgusting.

The fence is dangerous to say the least - it is rusty and broken and covered with weeds, There is a stump of an old tree that has the fence embedded in it. That is how old this fence is!! I played in this park as a child - 40 years ago * the same old rusty fence was there then.

This fence and these vines need to be addressed. This is unfair to the people who live next door and unsafe for children. Please fix!

This case should not be closed since it has not been addressed or resolved. I have been trying for 8 years to get a new fence, and have gotten your exact response every time. I have contacted the Parks Office and many others. How can you not find funding to replace a fence in an 8 year time span? It baffles the mind. Myself and my Neighbors want a new fence! We are talking about 2-5 thousand dollars here. I know, my Husband used to own and operate a fencing company in Montana.
I am going to get 3 bids for the City of St. Paul. Someone needs to!
