Description
traffic Signal on Old Milton is way too long at this intersection causing cars on Old Milton to back up into the intersection. People going south on North Point cant turn left and run thru intersection or get stopped in middle. Light for Northpoint only allows 4 or 5 cars to move. back up turning right causes people to drive thru parking lots.
Lengthen the green light for Northpoint to allow more north south flow to ease the east west on Old Milton. Its ridiculous especially during afternoon rush

The signal at this intersection is part of a larger signal timing project that is underway along the Old Milton Parkway Corridor. Engineers are currently collecting data that will be input into traffic modeling software to determine the optimal timing of signals along the corridor to move traffic as effectively as possible. The overall effort will take a few months to complete.
Unfortunately, altering the timing at a single signal will not alleviate the issue that you reference with respect to traffic backing up into the intersection. This can be addressed only through the aforementioned signal optimization program along the full corridor.
