Shame on City of Oakland for letting our West Oakland sidewalks crumble and fall apart. Where are my property taxes going? There are many low income seniors struggling to walk around West Oakland. The last thing our elders need is to trip on many of the buckling sidewalks.

Nearly three years later and this issue remains -- except now the tree roots have damaged the sidewalk making it a MUCH bigger safety hazard for all. Meanwhile the City of Oakland has a crew of a dozen + people working to install new sidewalks, new street trees, new wheelchair curb-cutouts just 1-2 blks from this location -- on Wood Street; on 14th Street; on Peralta Street.

City of Oakland is repairing curbs, jackhammering old sidewalks, laying new cement & planting just 1 blk away on 15th Street -- can they add this buckling sidewalk report to their list? They are working right here!
