Description
Traffic signal is too short for traffic turning left from westbound (northbound) Chapel Hill Rd (54) during rush hour (5-7pm). It has taken me 10 minutes to turn left onto Morrisville-Carpenter Rd from Chapel Hill Rd at 6:30pm. The backup of cars turning left from Chapel Hill Rd onto M-C Rd often prevents traffic from continuing straight on Chapel Hill Rd through this intersection.

Mr. Barry,
Thank you for your report of the left turn light on the traffic signal at Chapel Hill Road and Morrisville-Carpenter Road needing more time for people to turn. We understand your concern.

Mr. Barry,
I have forwarded your remarks to the Town of Cary Public Works Department for review.
As you are aware, due to the ongoing construction and road closures in the area, these traffic signals are being reviewed by the Town of Cary Transportation and Facilities Department to assist in ensuring the least amount of wait time for any direction at Morrisville Carpenter and NC54.
Due to the high traffic volume, there will be longer wait times.
It is our hope that the Town of Cary Traffic Signal System Supervisor and Public Works Department will address your concern expeditiously so the traffic flow in Morrisville will be easier for all.
Thank you again for your report.
If you should have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the Town of Morrisville Public Works Department at 919-463-7070.
