The Lake is being over run by Illegal campers, Spray vandals and Litter bugs. As is the rest of Oakland. As a Keep Oakland Clean Volunteer I picked two full bags of litter in 2 hours yesterday it is disgusting. These so called campers are a major cause of all the litter and garbage we have to clean up. Kick them out the park.

David, you are correct. I post almost everyday about the problems with the homeless, filth, and overall bad behavior in the park. Yet nothing gets resolved. Very discouraging.

They are only illegal campers to us, the city prefers them over the law abiding citizen. The Mayor has had more than enough time to do something. Her high hopes for a massive sports arena seems to be her only priority. How bout cleaning up Oakland first.

I called the Mayor again, zero response. Very discouraging but we have to keep at it. We also have to get more folks involved and focused on these issues.

Every time an encampment is reported, The person reporting it needs to also report it to the city officials. Send any pictures you have so they can see what the rest of us see or have to live near. Homelessness does not mean you get to wreck havoc and are above the law. It needs to stop. If city leaders won't step up than come election time it'll be time to make changes.
