I had the pleasure of taking a senior citizen in a wheelchair shopping this week. Our trip took us down 1St Ave west and I was disgusted by the shape of the sidewalk. There were sections that were completely missing, cracked, broken, and graveled on both sides of the street. I dare any of our council people to sit in a wheelchair and get pushed up and down that street.

The problem here is that the city needs money to fix things, and the citizens of PA are unwilling to take a tax hike. so REALLY the problem lies in the people's unwillingness to accept the hike, yet still complain that the city has no money to fix things.
