Description
You what I find amazing, there must have been a car accident at the intersection of Division and North Division Sts in front of the entrance to BJ's a week or so ago and no one from Derby Public Works has come by to clean it up. There has been window glass on the road ever since then. How long is it going to sit there Derby? I'm sure someone who work for the public works or works for the city of Derby or is an elected official has driven by this mess numerous times and not one has placed a call to ask if the mess can be cleaned up? WHY? You all should be ashamed of yourselves? Doesn't anyone have any pride?

In regard to any public safety or maintenance issue on Division St, although that particular section is actually a state highway, the division of responsibility between the cities for all activities is as follows: Derby is responsible for the "hills" and Ansonia is responsible for the "flats". This applies to plowing, paving and response to accidents among many other public responsibilities. The referenced section of Division St is in the "flats" and is therefore Ansonia's responsibility. Ansonia is also responsible for all traffic signals and signage that do not belong to the state.
