Long signal light delays for south bound traffic during morning rush hour. Light at Ed Drive also impends southbound traffic on Edwards Mill from proceeding when traffic is stopped on Duraleigh Rd.

The next time your stuck in traffic take a look around. How many cars have just one person in them? How many bicycles do you see?
The light isn't the problem.

I've reported this issue as a signal light malfunction because of the timing issue. Traffic on Duraleigh Rd is unbearable during rush hour, but as you may know, a throughfare project was scrapped by the state that would have linked 440 and Hwy 70 and bordered Umstead Park. It was at that time the houses started going up in the what was then proposed right of way for the new project.
Without that corridor, I don't see much that can or will be done for this intersection, since the traffic really has nowhere to go off duraleigh except hwy 70.

I received this response from the City of Raleigh on this issue, http://seeclickfix.com/issues/2030083
The City has hired consultants to re-time this corridor. Your concern has been forwarded to them.
