As this issue has been reported and can be considered an official complaint, why can't it be treated like any other complaint regarding sidewalks? The city should send the DOT a official letter like would be sent to a homeowner with a bad sidewalk, asking them to fix it within the required timeframe. If they do not comply the city should fix it and bill the DOT.
We also have a State Assemblyman and a State Senator who represent us at the state level. Why can't we ask them to intervene on our behalf if DOT is ignoring us?
