Kensington residents put up with MONTHS of hammering when the mini mall was built right next door; and now directly across the street on Geary, condo's are being build. I bet THAT is what you are hearing. The work began just about a month ago.

I've been to check exactly what and where the noise is coming from, its Kensington.

I sympathise that the Kensington residents put up with MONTHS of hammering but that isn't a justifiable reason for me to have to listen to the same. Do I get 4 weeks of hammering privileges when they are finished and make someone else's life a constant thud?

yes, actually, you do. It is the law. Again, if there are VIOLATIONS (before hours), report it; if it is MANNERS (swearing), call them; otherwise, put in your earplugs and be glad this is a mostly quiet senior center, no motorcycles or parties late at night. Sheesh!!

Gosh, such hostility. Hammer all you like, within hours. This is why we have rules; just go by them, and if you can't live in this close proximity to others, perhaps there is another solution you should explore. Good luck at Home Depot

I have no arguement with you, and yes, I have earplugs, and I use them when needed. I suspect you are communicating with a bit of exaggeration, since I called Penny both before and after you said you did, and heard her just fine. The front desk is hundreds and hundreds of feet from where construction is. Walk on over yourself; they will probably give you a free lunch! They are nice people! Try to cheer up and don't tell helpful strangers to shut up. Stay cool today!

Lucky Penny, hundreds and hundreds of feet away from the construction. Others aren't so lucky. The hammering was at my end, couldn't hear a thing.

I will talk to them. They have an active permit and can start work at 7 am. End time is 6 pm.

Spoke to the contractor and advised they need to adhere to the 7 am start time.

7am does seem a bit extreme, especially since its been the School Holidays and the kids have been woken up every day by this noise. Thank you for ACKing and speaking to them.
