Description

New Haven Traffic Police Officer causes road safety issue as he talks to a friend in a vehicle at 10:25am - 10:35am, 08/19/15, Near entrance of construction Yale site on the corner of Sachem St and Winchester Ave. Not construction related.

Vehicle stopped on the corner of Sachem St and Winchester Ave, blocking traffic and pedestrians as Officer chats with driver. Blocked commuter drivers beep horn at the Vehicle blocking traffic and Officer gets aggressive to commuter driver. Pedestrians unable to cross stand on the road and some navigating around blocking vehicle and officer. Traffic blocked in work zone area

Violation of vehicle blocking traffic and officer failure to enforce and is an accomplice of said violation.

Officers should be law abiding and examples of safety. This traffic officer should be creating safe enviroment on the road at a construction site and not a dangerous one.
