This is at the Eagle Street entrance to Blake Field, near intersection of Mechanic and Eagle. The pile of clothing (on right in photo) was dumped last night, sometime after 7:30 p.m.
Disgusting: I'm told the city is beginning a mass anti-dumping campaign. Hopefully they'll see this posting. As I've said in other similar postings many times, small hidden field cameras are dirt cheap. I'd encourage the city to experiment with this technology. It's at least worth a try...
Very scary to see these abandoned vehicles right next to the elementary school so would really appreciate the city doing something about this as soon as possible.
Items picked up. Issue closed. If you need to report another issue please submit to See Click Fix or call Department of Public Works at (203) 946 - 7700. Thanks.
Hi, the original address you were given was incorrect--we drove by and all the items are still there. This is on the corner of Mechanic and Eagle. We just drove by and the trash and abandoned vehicles are still there.
Some of the items were picked up, but there's still a fair amount of trash there--this is at the Eagle St pedestrian entrance to Blake Field, near the back of East Rock School.
We are closing older 2013-2016 Illegal Dumping Issues found on Public Spaces (roads, tree belts, sidewalks) in order to focus on current Issues. Many of the older issues were addressed through our Streets Division but were never closed. If your “public space illegal dumping” issue has not been addressed, please open a new See Click Fix issue. Thanks
