Description
I just moved on Filley Street temporarily. This road is highly used and the speed limit is 25 mph. I have never seen anyone go under 35 mph on this street. Thete are lots of construction traffic due to near by buisnesses that just put the metal to the peddle. There are children playing on the sidewalks and cars speeding down this street. I can't believe the city has allowed this to continue for so long without installing some sort of speed barrier like speed bumps or something of the sort. I know a few weeks ago there was a L.P.D speed monitor but that is all we have noticed. This street needs speed bumps asap!

Filley Street is classified as a major street, which means it is designed for higher traffic volumes and heavier vehicles. The City does not generally install speed humps on major streets. We will gather some speed and volume data at the east half of Filley Street (residential section) to determine the speed characteristics of the vehicles and coordinate with the police department on additional enforcement in the area.
