Description
There is a tremendous amount of overgrowth by my house that is city owned. My pest control company urged me to let the city know because this is an issue with getting roof rats. I also have a young daughter whom I am worried about letting play in the yard for fear of snakes. There are lots of neighborhood kids who also play outside and may end up getting snake bitten or their homes infested with roof rats. Please please have someone clear some of this overgrowth! Thanks so much!

You have indicated your address as 15 Forest Lane. The lot next door, 13 Forest Ln has state waters in front of the house. Nothing is to be cleared within 50 feet of either side of the creek. This would constitute a stream buffer protected by the laws of the State of Georgia. Any clearing of a protected stream buffer would be considered a violation of City ordinance, punishable by a fine of up to $2500.00 per day.
Also, this is not City owned property so it is not maintained by the City.
Thank you for reporting your concern.
