Description

This is the area on the west side of Prospect Street between Grove Street and Trumbull Street. Three trees are dead and one is almost dead, and there is heavy weed growth along the west side of the street. This area was funded and improved at the expense of Yale University just three years ago, with the agreement with the City of New Haven that the City of New Haven would maintain it in perpetuity. Now, we find that the City has fallen down in its responsibility to properly maintain the trees and ground cover. The City of New Haven must immediately replace the dead trees and remove the weeds from the ground cover and maintain and water this area! In the absence of the City maintaining its commitment, action will be initiated.
