Outrageous. Think I heard San Francisco is going to paint pee-free walls. What about the rest of the environment? Oakland does nothing.

Good Grief, just clean up this c..p .

I too submitted a Maintenance Service Request to Caltrans this week. Both lots are posted to prohibit loitering, camping, and littering.

I was just there this morning after volunteer litter walk. It is worse than ever.

Unacceptable for Oakland to keep putting up with this garbage. Quit letting these encampments get out of control before u clean them up and make it so their eviction is permanent.

Caltrans responded last week by posting a notice prohibiting encampments followed by a work crew to remove the accumulation.

That's good to know. Now if Cal Trans would respond to the encampment on 23rd and MLK.

There was nobody camped there and most of the garbage was gone last Weds. I picked up several syringes including one stuck in a commuter shoe. Caltrans needs some training in broom use and hazmat training as well. I will be back over there for our litter walk tomorrow.

Thanks David. Leaving syringes is not good and they need to do a more thorough cleaning.

Original problem was addressed. However, several reoccurrences have occurred and the lots require continuous monitoring.

I doubt if anyone is going to monitor this, but hope that someone will call in if it keeps being trashed, since the city has no solutions on how to deal with these issues.
