Description
For two years now someone has been cutting flowers from our tree peony and rose bushes. They appear to be doing this at night, since the flowers are there one day and not the next. We also have had people come onto our property to cut other spring flowers. (Photo of blossom from tree peony that was lost last year.)

How do you stop flower thieves?

FrontStreeter: Get a beartrap :)
Seriously though, maybe get a dog, or a fence. Or both.
Looks like plant-theft is a thing. Google it up.

I'm sorry to hear that others are having this same problem. I suppose it is a sign of the times that there are people who have no respect for the hard work and expense it takes to grow a garden. Those people just feel entitled to help themselves to the bounty of our efforts and feel no guilt about depriving us of the pleasure we feel from the fruits of our labors. I'm considering putting in surveillance cameras or spraying my plants with hot pepper spray to irritate their sticky fingers....
P.S. I caught a woman in our gardens with an armful of our tulips a few years ago. When I asked her what she was doing, she said it was Mother's Day and she wanted to give these flowers to her mother. She seemed shocked, when I told her they weren't hers to give....
