I didn't know a few lines drawn on the road could stop a car. It sounds like the lines are giving you a false seance of safety. While I understand the need of the lines and understand that walkers are suppose to have the right-a- way in a crosswalk ( something that makes little of no seance to me ) I bet part of the issue isn't the worn out lines. Its probably a bunch of stuff combined that is making a bad problem worse. Traffic turning off 309 or even crossing 309 has to watch for traffic coming out the driveway of wawa and the cars coming/going from the train station. I can see how a pedestrian might not be seen as easily. In the old days it was always a good idea to watch for traffic and try to avoid it. I realize pedestrians are suppose to have the right-a- way but some people take advantage of that and think they don't have to watch for traffic. Its a high traffic area at certain times of the day my suggestion would be to walk deceitfully, if traffic is coming wait till its clear to start to cross and don't waste any time crossing. If your hit by a car and dead inside those lines will it really matter? You will still be dead. Maybe another solution would be to move the crosswalk to a better location ( I google mapped the location and am now wondering where the crosswalk is. Apparently its been worn for some time). All these signs and stuff written on the road also is a distraction. What we really need to do is learn to share the road.Pedestrians ,bikers, motorcyclist, car and truck drivers need to share the road and not be in so much of a hurry and not freak out if someone mistakenly cuts them off.
