Are you kidding? They have been flying around Quinnipiac Ave, Front St, and over both bridges for the last few hours. Aggressively driving on the wrong side of the road at 50+ MPH in pedestrian zones. And no one can stop this lawless behavior?

I came back to Fair Haven from downtown to be swarmed by at least 50 riders near East and Chapel, to the point that they made me stop until the bulk of them passed. After I began again, the remaining part of the group were passing me at will and driving on sidewalks and through the baseball park opposite cold spring school. I live next to Grand Avenue bridge and have spent the last three hours watching them maraud my neighborhood. I called the non-emergency police line three times. Three times. Three times. No police response. This is ridiculous and I will be posting on this site until I get an explanation (from a city official) as to what the policing strategy will be.

Be careful when taking pictures and phoning the police if you are seen you do not how they will react. Also I would not use my real name on this site.

Call your police district manager. They seem to be the best way to get a response.

I agree that it's disgusting that the city waits to act on this. Just drive a NHPD cruiser through the area and hey will disappate. Chances are that the police knows who they are anyways. I Do understand that the PD cannot engage in a chase, but this is just @#$% on New Haven citizens.

I find that the new District Managers in Fair Haven are seriously dropping the ball on this. How is it, that such a massive pack of illegal vehicles can be ridden in loops around the same streets for HOURS on end on a Sunday?

All over town , watch as the cop hides in parking lots and behind buildings then he/she will creep out slowly when this lawbreaking rabble passes.
So sad to see cops as posers , being inept and incompetent..Read about dozens of arrest cases having to be thrown out for malfeasance and police paid informant witness' recanting. (i mean murder charges only)
Read about cop rape on inebriated bar patron ...etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. eye yai yai

He will respond to emails and calls. If you report a known ATV or dirt bike location to him, he will investigate and confiscate the machines.

SeeClickFix New Haven Nation, time to make some noise of our own. Spring has sprung and again dirtbikes are flying up and streets, through parks, and on sidewalks, terrorizing the city.

On April 28 (Thursday), give the mayor’s office (203 946-8200) to let her know that it’s time to track down the bikes and confiscate!! More calls equals more action and fewer dirtbikes on the streets!!

Now they know they can get their picture on the famous Click Flix web site , propelling them into stardom.
