Contractor has closed and removed sidewalk without providing another means for pedestrians to walk safely along N Hamilton. They should provide a path through the area or close the right hand northbound lane to allow people to get through here safely.

1. There is no sidewalk on the other side of the street.
2. There is no safe way to cross, even if there were a sidewalk on the other side of the street.
3. It is the Contractor's responsibility to implement a safe work zone by providing a means for all traffic - vehicles and pedestrians to move through the work zone.
4. It is the Contractor's responsibility to create a safe path, not the pedestrian's responsibility to discover a path.
5. It is the City's responsibility to ensure the Contractor is providing safe work zones.
Please arrange for the Contractor to provide safe passage through the work area, either in a dedicated path or by closing the right-hand northbound lane of Hamilton to allow pedestrians around the area.
