I am a member of the Chatham Square Neighborhood Association. We met last night at the Mary Wade Home on Pine and Clinton. This issue was brought up, amongst other issues for our neighborhood. We are asking Serena Neal-Sanjurjo nwe head of LCI to come to one of the CMT meetings. I will let you know when she will be there.
In case you did not know, as I did not until December, The CMT is the Community Management Team. Ours is for all of Fair Haven and the meetings are held the first Thursday of each month at 6PM 295 Blatchley at the Police sub-station. A lot of decisions are made there. A lot of voting that can make a difference. Chatham Square .. from Rt 80 to Grand and from Ferry to Front is the Chatham Square neighborhood. We are sorely under represented at these meetings, Please come to the meetings and add your voices. We can, with increased presence make a difference. It is not just LCI issues that are addressed. There are votes about money coming into the neighborhoods and how that money will be used. There are police issues, and community projects. Again, please come and add your voice.
