Fertilizer/weed killer undissolved next to sidewalk

We met with the manager from the property on July 15 to alert him that the property was within 500 feet of Englesby Brook making it part of the "buffer zone". He put us in contact with the contractor from Scotts who applied the material.

The contractor from Scotts Lawn service came to the Code Enforcement Office on July 16 and met with me. I received the information about the contract with the business at Shelburne and Flynn and went over the Burlington City ordinance requiring approval from the Board of Health for application of a pesticide within the buffer zone. (500 feet from Lake Champlain and its tributaries)

The contractor agreed to attend the next Burlington Board of Health meeting on August 13, 2015 prior to any additional action being taken at the site or by the City.
