Recently, Friendly's Ice Cream stores closed many of its locations as part of its financial restructuring plan.

The Capital District lost a number of stores in this restructuring, including the store at 737 New Loudon Road in Latham.

However, as will probably be the case here (and can be easily viewed by the still-empty KFC building on Kunker Ave. which burned down 8 years ago), this building will probably remain empty for upwards of a decade or more, due to the high-tax and red-tape-filled policies of the Town of Colonie and the State of New York.

Let's see how long THIS building remains empty, adding yet another blighted property to the piles of other ones sitting around and rotting in this business-unfriendly town!
