Description

The bench between quarry park and the back of Barsky court, south of Maggie's playground, is a magnet for trash, again. This photo and the next one demonstrate cans, wrappers, and plastic from teenage drinking and smoking at this bench. It has previously been where a homeless person slept years ago, as well. It is ignored by the maintenance staff who have been mowing the grass at quarry park the past few days. I've written about this several times over the years and the public bench area is still not regularly checked. The only way to solve the problem, which is a safety concern since it involves alcohol and drugs, is to get rid of the bench.
