YBCBD - Can you please provide more info on how this issue has been resolved? This is an ongoing problem for our building and we need your assistance in detouring people away from this area and cleaning up the litter and cigarette butts they leave behind.

Three of them smoking there now.

I am the owner of the ground floor unit -- people smoke there throughout the day. I can also smell/inhale there second hand smoke.

Are there signs on that location to inform people that smoking is not allowed? If there are no signs there, can one or more signs be placed there?

We have ordered signs and are waiting for them to arrive. They should be here any day now. We also have our front desk staff monitoring the area three times per shift to ask the smokers to stand at the curb.

While we are waiting for sings, maybe temporary ones made of cardboard or just plain paper will work? It is definitely better than having nothing there to remind people that smoking is not allowed on that location. The sufferings of the residences on the lower floors, not just ground floor, is not tolerable.

A temporary sign has now been posted on the exterior of the building.

Fours smokers there now.

I asked the smokers to move to the curb, they obliged.

I asked five smokers to please smoke at the curb as I was returning to the building. One woman did, the other tech bros didn't. One of them became belligerent with me. Can YBCBD speak to the property manager at 633 Folsom? The repeat offenders all work for the same company in that building. BTW, I asked our lobby attendant to ask them to move, and they finally obliged.

Why can't those people be given tickets for violating city ordinance?

Should the sign says violator will be fined?
