the road patchwork is terrrible on my car and many people ride the other lane which is an accident waiting to happen

Many people are driving on the wrong side of the road, causing a dangerous condition to try to miss the potholes and elevated manhole covers.

This road is a disgrace. If a contractor left it like this, his construction bond should not have been discharged until it was finished properly. If the township or state did it, the supervisors should be all over them.

Thanks for your questions. Allow me to explain a bit:

The point of this site is for public discussion among neighbors and local government. Every community can sign up their local officials as "Watchers" so that they receive email notifications whenever an issue is posted in their town.
It appears as if no one has been signed up yet to monitor Halfway House.

Who is responsible for fixing the public space in Halfway House? Is there a city government or just the county? Whoever is in charge should be added as a watcher so that he/she hears about these problems. You can do that by clicking "who's watching" and then "create a watch area" and filling out the contact info.

I agree. I wish they would fix this road. It is HORRIBLE. What is Pottsgrove Township doing? The road is so bad people tend to use the other lane and now they got the police out trying to give people tickets driving over this stretch over road. What is wrong with this township? Shame on all the Pottsgrove supervisors and the police department. The township has a responsibility to provide a safe road. Get this road fixed and stop trying to ticket people for trying to avoid the holes in the road.

I live on Farmington and drive on this stretch to and from work everyday. It's really not that bad and it's certainly not unsafe.

Here is a novel idea. Instead of whining about it here or in the soundoff like many of you people do . Take a few extra seconds to voice the complaint to the townships . I have never seen an area who thinks the local municipalities get their work assignments via a letter in the newspaper. It is ridiculous. If you have a complaint , pick up the phone or show up to a township meting. don't moan about it here when nothing gets done about it.

I also live on Farmington Ave and travel the road quite a bit! I agree that the road needs some major patching but if you would just slow down and watch where you're going, it really isn't that bad. You wouldn't have to worry about crossing into the other lane of traffic, getting a ticket from the cops when you do cross the line or wrecking your car. So until the sewer is finished and the road is fixed, just slow down people. It only takes a few extra seconds.

wow, this isn't the first time that Farmington Ave has been horrible and people had no choice but to deal with it. remember when the other end (the firehouse/twp building side) was a disgrace? the firehouse parking lot looks horrible too, do you seriously think that they're going to fix a road when they won't even handle their parking lot? the upper pottsgrove twp commissioners have their own agenda, and apparently the roads aren't part of it.

I drive this road everyday at least three times a day and there are alot of people who are riding in the wrong lane to avoid the rough road and do not care if traffic is coming the other way. Someone is gona get hit head on soon!! Please fix this road properly.

They are actually now tearing up the other side that everybody has been riding on. This entire road is a mess!!! They need to re-pave the entire stretch of farmington ave there.

I just came home form work and saw that they have started to try to repave farmington if this is the best that this Pedrick paving can do they need to go back to school and pay attention this time

Looks like the contractor has completed the final paving on Farmington. Maybe a little more work to do, but at least the roadway is smooth once again.
