The sidewalk in front of 1840-1844 S. Camac St. has been blocked since last fall. It's not clear if a valid permit exists. Seven homes are being built here, but the last time the construction crew has done any work on this site has been May 15. The property is owned by 1840 S. Camac St. Partners and it's being sold through Jim Onesti at Berkshire Hathaway at 215-440-2032. Because the sidewalk is blocked by fencing here, pedestrians are forced to walk in the street, which is a safety issue, as well as a quality of life issue. It appears the site is dormant, and a large pile of sand and a porta potty are on the section of the sidewalk that's enclosed by the fencing. As neighbors, we're asking to have access to this sidewalk.
