I rode my comfort bike leisurely around White Rock Lake today, but what a nightmare. The testosterone-fueled, highly competitive cyclers were out in force today, and they really don't have a clue what constitutes a safe speed and safe rules of the road on a shared path. I routinely reduce my speed to fit the situation-other cylists, joggers, walkers, children, dogs, etc. Many of these very aggressive riders simply do not. As unsafe as Dallas drivers are, these cyclists make them look like icons of safety. There are no rules of the road whatsoever. Its like Road Warrior out there. Somebody enforce some laws here.
