This property has been abandoned for years. You can see raccoons climbing out from the chimney in the evenings. It would be nice if the city did something about it.
I thought that the city was already contacted about this property. Was it not? Didn't they board up another one on Stuyvesant? Can't they go after the mortgage holders?
This house has never been boarded up. It has been complained about a few times, but the absentee homeowner usually hires someone to mow the lawn about once a month so the city doesn't do anything. Whoever they hire has not done it yet this year, as far as I've seen
According to Arivify.com, it is owned by Seriani Bret, and was purchased in 2002. It seems accurate, as I just typed in a bunch of local addresses and the correct homeowners came up. 109 Hyde St is owned by the Spivacks (per same website), and they use it as a storage unit. Neighbors have been complaining for years, but city did nothing until raccoons were climbing in and out of broken window or chimney or something. Contact city assessor and LCI office.
