It's very dark under here and it's now the alternative route to get to State Street w the bridge out.
this is incredibly important for the safety of the neighborhood. please fix!
What is the status of this, please? I had to walk through here yesterday morning and yesterday evening and quite frankly, it's scary. It's pitch black and the structure is such that anyone can easily be hiding in there and you would not know until it was too late. This is a huge liability--who is responsible for this? Is is CT-DOT since it's an underpass? Who do I need to contact?!
Okay, City of New Haven's Department of Transportation & Department of Public Works: get moving on this! According to State DOT, you are responsible for this train underpass, since it's traversing a city street.
This is a dangerous tunnel with NO working lights and lots of trash--glass, diapers, even a sofa cushion. I pass through here twice daily and have to keep checking over my shoulder to make sure there's no one around because there are so many hiding spots in here. Seriously, fix this, please!
They are fixed!
